Description
In this live coding session we implement a practical support generator for 3D printing with the MeshLib SDK, connecting the dialog UI, user input, geometry algorithms (including mesh booleans), and rendering into one coherent workflow.
We recommend watching the previous tutorial before the webinar. It introduces MeshLib’s plugin architecture and builds a basic tool.
What you will learn
• Build a tool within MeshLib plugin from scratch
• Design a dialog and handle user parameters
• Apply geometric algorithms and use render helpers
• Generate cylindrical supports with conical tips sized by local bottom curvature
• Boolean union supports into the model and validate results
• Integrate the plugin with MeshInspector for rapid iteration
